About our Speaker…John White, P.E., is a 1982 Civil Engineering graduate of Clemson University and a 1991 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of law. Mr. White has experience with construction from multiple perspectives. Mr. White has worked as an engineer for an industrial contractor in the Appalachian coalfields; an engineer for the City of Charleston, SC; the engineering supervisor for the New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development; the engineering supervisor for the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks; an attorney for the law firm of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart in their construction law section; and, as the State Engineer for the State of South Dakota. Mr. White has been the State Engineer for the State of South Carolina since February 1, 2007.
